Healthy Chocolate

  • Raw Cocoa contains flavanoids which help prevent damage to body cells and tissue, but the positive properties of the raw cocoa are lost in the process of making commercial chocolate.

50g Cocoa Butter

50g Coconut Oil

40g Raw Cocoa Powder

1 tbsp Sweetener of choice

Tiny pinch of sea salt

35g Mixed Nuts, roughly chopped

Sprig of fresh rosemary leaves (optional)

  • Melt the cocoa butter with the coconut oil in a bain-marie
  • Once melted, remove the bowl from the pan and add the cocoa, sweetener, salt and most of the nuts
  • Stir well and let the mixture cool for a while
  • Place a sheet of greaseproof paper on a baking tray and pour the cooled chocolate mixture onto it. Spread the mixture to form an even slice
  • Decorate the chocolate with the rest of the chopped nuts (and rosemary leaves if using)
  • Let it harden and store in the refrigerator
